Our athlete @classic_carll sharing his motivational story.

There was a time I truly believed my bodybuilding journey had come to an end.

From 2018 to 2025, I didn’t step on a bodybuilding stage.

Then in 2025, my daughter asked me a question I’ll never forget:

“Dad, don’t you love bodybuilding? Why did you stop competing? You were fit, dedicated, disciplined… and my classmates used to call you a superhero.” 💪

Then she said, “You should compete again. I want to watch you.” ❤️

That moment changed everything.

In January 2025, I reached out to my coach, Philip Chiero—the same coach I worked with from 2016 to 2018. Without hesitation, he said, “Heck yeah!” 🔥

The original plan was simple: compete at a local show in August 2025.

But my body responded faster than expected. My coach looked at me and said, “What do you think about doing a national qualifier and taking a shot at Nationals in your comeback year?”

I already knew one thing about myself—once I’m locked in, I’m all in. 💪

I competed in Modesto, earned my qualification, and headed straight to Nationals.

Did everything go perfectly? No.

I made mistakes with my nutrition, didn’t execute my macros the way I should have, and I showed up flat on stage. I finished 9th.

That result could have ended it for me.

Instead, it lit a fire in me. 🔥

I made a promise to myself: I would come back twice as strong.

Now every workout, every meal, every sacrifice has a purpose.

This comeback is no longer just for me. It’s for my daughter, my family, and everyone who believes it’s never too late to chase what you started. ❤️

No matter how demanding @kevverse work schedule is or where he is, he never misses his meals, follows his nutrition plan, and completes every workout exactly as prescribed. That’s what separates good athletes from great ones.

A coachable athlete trusts the process, communicates, stays consistent, and understands that success comes from following the plan—not constantly changing it.

An uncoachable athlete questions every step, ignores instructions, picks and chooses what to follow, then wonders why progress stalls.

As a coach, my job is to provide the roadmap. As an athlete, your job is to execute it. If you’re not willing to trust the process or follow your coach’s guidance, you may be better off coaching yourself instead of investing someone else’s time and effort.

What makes this journey even more meaningful is how it all started. David wasn’t originally planning to compete—he was hesitant at first. But after training at InShape and being surrounded by the right environment, his natural structure, discipline, and potential became obvious. 💪

That’s when the conversation shifted. With a little convincing and trust in the process, he decided to take the leap into Men’s Physique—and once he committed, he fully committed.

He even stayed driven beyond his local routine, making the extra effort to drive all the way to @fitnesssystem just to continue training, improve, and stay consistent. That level of dedication says everything about his mindset. 🚗🔥

Now after his first show experience, he’s already back to work—refining posing, dialing in conditioning, going back to our notes, and making the necessary adjustments with July 11th in mind. 📆

We want to congratulate @lovinfitalisa on her performance at the Northern California Championship — placing 1st in Masters 35+ 🥇 and 2nd in the Open Figure Division 🥈. Every show is a step forward, and this one reflects the hard work, discipline, and consistency she brought throughout her prep.

A special thank you to @bbjninjarecovery209 & @sophiavonne for always being there for our athletes, especially stepping in during those crucial final days to provide treatment for her ankle injury/ ain 🙌🩹. That care played a key role in keeping her healthy, mobile, and ready to step on stage that weekend.

Today I stepped on stage in the IFBB Pro Open Men’s Bodybuilding division, waking up at 212lbs and holding my own against some of the best athletes in the sport.

This sport is always about bringing your best package, showing up with confidence, and proving that hard work, discipline, and consistency can take you further than anyone expects.

As I continue my journey, I can honestly say I’m proud of what I brought to the stage. Every prep, every sacrifice, every early morning, and every late night was worth it.

I know that with Coach @krisdim_ifbbpro constantly pushing me to improve, I can confidently say that every year I will continue to look better, perform better, and beat the previous version of myself.
